Janssen Building

The 66,500 SF Janssen Building is a six-story office building located in the Main Street Block, a historical area of downtown Peoria, IL.  The office building houses the Janssen Law Center and Jim’s Steakhouse.  Each floor has a direct connection to the City owned Niagara Parking Deck.

The exterior elevation addresses the historical context of the surrounding area, yet conveys a fresh, bold new look for the downtown.

Granite is used on the first two stories, and for the classical pediment which enhances the entrance to the building.  Two story arched windows, glazed with tinted glass set in brass mullions, complete the building base.  Brick, trimmed with granite, and a tinted glass curtainwall enclose the balance of the Janssen Building.

The interiors are dressed in granite, glass and mahogany with brass trim.
