How does a large private university express its commitment to 21st Century technology and education? Build high quality, state-of-the-art, award winning buildings! Take, for example, two incredibly special projects designed for Bradley University by GB&A.
The Heuser Arts Center is designed to provide a Fine Arts facility of strong architectural character that is functional and adaptable to the requirements of the various fine arts disciplines housed within it. The three-story, 33,000 sq. ft. building has a masonry and glass exterior and accommodates sculpture, ceramics, art history, graphic design, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, filmmaking, metal, and jewelry studies. A two-story, skylighted exhibition gallery provides views to the exterior plaza and sculpture garden.
The Caterpillar Global Communications Center was awarded to GB&A through the result of an architectural design competition. The high-tech building houses the advanced communications program at Bradley. The building site, located at the main entrance to the campus, is one of the most highly visible locations.
For both above buildings, the University sought a firm to design at the highest quality level to attract substantial endowments to the University from private donors.
The buildings have become landmarks on the campus and centers for their respective curriculums.
Great clients get great work.
