Twin Towers

  /    /  Twin Towers

Twin Towers Place towers over the skyline of Peoria, the second largest city in Illinois. The symbol of a resurging downtown (it is even on the police cars), the Twin Towers residential towers (each thirty stories) are the centerpieces of Twin Towers Plaza, which also includes a half city block of commercial mall, restaurants, the sixteen-story Union Planters Bank office building and four hundred cars of underground parking.

The site is directly across the street from City Hall and the Peoria Civic Center designed by architect Phillip Johnson of New York.

GB&A provided development services, architectural design, condominium marketing, commercial and office leasing, interior design, and construction management services for the overall project.

The project was financed with public and with private funds. Twin Towers Place is the catalyst for the major redevelopment of the downtown and the riverfront for Peoria.

GB&A provided the design and construction management services for twelve additional major projects in downtown Peoria, including the Continental Regency Hotel (now the Holiday Inn Downtown), Peoria Savings Plaza, the Janssen Building, several buildings for Methodist Medical Center and the Central Building.
